2017 PARTNERS Keynote Speakers
Every year at PARTNERS, we bring together leaders and visionaries in big data and analytics. This year we are pleased to once again feature leading tech expert Katie Linendoll as our conference Emcee, and also welcome innovative new Keynote Speakers Joi Ito and Jason Silva to our event.
To give you a taste of what you can expect from our speakers, we’ve collected their career highlights and several featured video spots below, which are sure to enlighten, entertain, and inspire.
Linendoll is best known for her role as a tech contributor for the TODAY show, but she is also regularly featured in many other outlets as a fresh voice for all things tech. Linendoll has a degree in Information Technology New Media from Rochester Institute of Technology and won an Emmy for her work at ESPN, where she has contributed over 60 pieces on sports technology. In 2015, Linendoll was honored as a visionary in Silicon Valley during the 18th Annual SVForum Visionary Awards, a distinction she shares with other award winners such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Tim Draper. Linendoll also runs her own business, Katie Linendoll Productions, which produces content for a number of top outlets, such as Popular Science, Brookstone and RetailMeNot. An accomplished speaker, host, and moderator, Linendoll has worked with both experts and celebrities to share their messages with the world. Her tech podcast, Katie Show, shares first looks in technology and science, as well as interviews with the most notable minds in the industry. Linendoll contains multitudes, and this is just a taste of her accomplishments – —be sure to ask her about the time she sold $20 million in products at the Home Shopping Network and won a Guinness World Record—true story!

MONDAY KEYNOTE:Joi Ito
Joi Ito is the director of the MIT Media Lab, as well as an author and technology connoisseur, who combines exceptional academic and practical experience to offer an unmatched view of the technological landscape with an eye on what’s next. He was an early-stage investor in such Internet titans as Twitter, Wikia, Flickr, Last.fm, and Kickstarter. Joi is coauthor (with Jeff Howe) of Whiplash: How to Survive Our Faster Future. He sits on the boards of Sony Corporation, the Knight Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, The New York Times Company, Mozilla Foundation, WITNESS, Global Voices, and Creative Commons. In Japan, he was a founder of Digital Garage and helped establish and later became CEO of the country’s first commercial Internet service provider. Joi was chosen by Foreign Policy magazine as one of the "Top 100 Global Thinkers” in 2011, and Businessweek named him one of the 25 Most Influential People on the Web in 2008. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Oxford Internet Institute in recognition of his role as one of the world's leading advocates of Internet freedom.

WEDNESDAY KEYNOTE:Jason Silva
Jason Silva is the Emmy-nominated host of National Geographic Channel’s #1 rated Brain Games, which is seen in over 100 countries. He also hosted the eight-part National Geographic series, Origins: The Journey of Humankind. Silva describes himself as a “wonderjunkie,” and created the web series “Shots of Awe,” micro-documentaries exploring creativity, innovation, technology, futurism, metaphysics, existentialism and the human condition. He also produced the web series “Future of Us” for AOL, exploring exponential technology and the future of humanity. An active and prolific global speaker, Silva has spoken at TEDGlobal, Google’s Zeitgeist Conference, keynoted multiple events for Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, Oracle, Electronic Arts, Honeywell, PEPSICO, Intel, Dolby and many more, all over the world. From 2005 to 2011, Silva was also a presenter on Current TV, the Emmy-winning, independent cable network founded by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, where Silva hosted, wrote and produced more than 100 hours of original content.
