Product Advisory Council (PAC)

The Product Advisory Council (PAC), sponsored by the Partners Steering Committee, is an advisory group of Teradata customer members that provides input to Teradata on the product direction for the Teradata Database along with related products and platforms. The PAC solicits and reviews Enhancement Requests (ERs) from Teradata customers and determines the validity of each ER received. If appropriate, the PAC makes a recommendation to Teradata to include the ER in their future planning. The PAC also helps prioritize the enhancements to the Teradata Database. The PAC members work closely with Teradata representatives from the Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Support organizations.

Become A Member of the Product Advisory Council

  • Opportunity to interface with and influence key Teradata personnel responsible for product planning and direction
  • Ability to gain advanced knowledge of new functionality and features that are being planned and developed and to provide feedback
  • Face to face education on new features provided by Teradata developers
  • Gain knowledge and insights through information and best practices sharing
  • Recognition of participation on the council
  • No Conference fees for the Teradata Partners User Group Conference
  • Solicit and review new ERs
  • Assist in prioritizing ERs
  • Attend monthly conference calls of 1 to 2 hours in duration
  • Capture and provide meeting minutes for the monthly conference calls on a rotating basis
  • Participate as Vice Chairperson and Chairperson on an annually rotating basis
  • Attendance at three events requiring overnight travel. This consists of two Product/Plan review meetings, one in the March timeframe and the other in August timeframe. These will be held at the Teradata facility in Rancho Bernardo, California to allow access to a variety of Teradata developers and managers. The third event is the Teradata Partners User Group Conference that usually runs from a Sunday to Thursday in October. These events usually require travel and attendance over weekends
  • Moderate sessions at the Teradata Partners User Group Conference
  • Other time spent on committee work will vary, averaging five hours per month
  • Remain well versed on current Teradata Database features and related products and share lessons learned, challenges, and best practices with the PAC.
  • Be a direct employee (not a consultant) with more than 1 year tenure of a company which is a Teradata customer.
  • Have a job role that involves Teradata
  • Have your Company/management approval and commitment
  • Sign a non-disclosure agreement
  • Intend to serve a minimum of one year on the council

Executive Director
Morgan Stanley

Steve Kuster is an Executive Director in Corporate and Post Trade Technology at Morgan Stanley, holding primary responsibility for the global Finance Data Warehousing platform. The Finance Data Warehouse enables the Financial Controllers to execute the monthly close processes and provide financial reporting to Firm Management and the Regulators. Steve joined Morgan Stanley in 1992 and has held a variety of technology positions over the last 20 years in software development, database architecture, data modeling, and business intelligence.


Technical Advisor

Bill Grenwelge has been working on the Teradata platform since 1997 as a DBA and developer. He has worked on various sized systems (200+ nodes down to 2 nodes). He is currently heads up the Performance and Infrastructure team dealing with overall System health, SQL performance/Tuning, Teradata software (client and database)/hardware upgrades, as well as providing client software/ETL knowledge and help to ETL teams and application teams developing for the Teradata platform at FedEx. He is a certified Teradata master for V2R3, V2R5, and TD12.


Senior Manager

Monish Doshi is currently a Senior Manager managing the Data Platforms at Symantec. Prior to joining Symantec he also worked for Teradata in various positions in the Professional Services group. Monish has experience building and managing multi-terabyte data warehouse implementations, creating innovative data driven solutions and providing thought leadership in the realms of data warehousing, data management, and data quality. Monish has over 12 years of progressive experience and is a Teradata 12 and V2R5 Certified Master.


IT Director, Architecture, Enterprise Business Intelligence

Attila Finta is currently chief DW/BI Architect at Dell. Attila has three decades of hands-on experience and technical leadership in IT, in a variety of enterprises, roles, and functions. For the past 25 years he has worked in data resource development and management, including systems architecture (data, process, and technical), data analysis, data modeling, database design, process specification, data quality, and metadata management, with a predominant focus in data warehousing, data integration, and business intelligence. Prior to Dell, as a consultant or employee, Attila has architected, designed, implemented, and/or assessed DW/BI solutions in diverse industries: pharmaceutical, manufacturing, retail, telecom, financial services, insurance, petroleum, media, e-commerce.


Senior Database Administrator

Carl is a Teradata DBA for The Home Depot. He has been working with Teradata since 2010, starting as a data integration developer. Since then he has deployed multiple customer related applications that helped drive the enterprise towards a single "Golden Record" for customers. As a DBA, Carl was involved in multiple Teradata Software upgrades, helped standardize and tune custom development around the Teradata DCM application, and provided daily operational support for both DCM and EDW systems. Carl has also run multiple POCs on how to integrate "Big Data" technologies with the existing EDW, and tools to help make all of this data more accessible to users. Carl is also dedicated to bringing new talent into the Data and Analytics space by serving on The Home Depot's IT Intern Committee and the Computer Science Advisory Board at Kennesaw State University.

Suhail is a DBA at He has been working on Teradata systems since 2006 as a DBA and an ETL developer. His current responsibilities at Overstock include capacity management, DBMS upgrades, System performance tuning, query optimizations and workload management. Suhail is also a certified Teradata 12 Master.

Dan Narva has over 30 years combined experience in engineering and IT. Dan has been with Meijer since 1998 where he is a database administrator supporting the Teradata platform, which continues to expand to include new servers and applications that interface with the Teradata Warehouse. Dan has diverse experience on Teradata including performance tuning and optimization, workload management, and capacity analysis and forecasting. He has been a Teradata Certified Master since 2003.


BI & Big Data Technology Lead

In February 2015, Yvonne Quacken joined Siemens as Senior Big Data Architect & Engineer. In her role as BI & Big Data Technology Lead, she is responsible for Platform and Solution Architecture, Cloud Integration as well as DevOps for BI and Big Data. Yvonne has been working in this area since 2000 in multiple roles as Senior Database Administrator, Lead DBA and Big Data Platform Architect/Engineer for Swisscom or Metro Group. Her main expertise is in Architecture, System Performance Monitoring and Tuning, Workload Management, SQL Optimization, Benchmarking and the evaluation of new features and products. As a result she has received a deep insight in Teradata Systems, the UDA and in general Big Data Technology.

Linda Richardson has over 20 years IT experience and has worked on Teradata systems since 1997. During that time in various roles including data modeler, application designer and developer, and database administrator, Linda has been instrumental in the implementation and growth of the Norfolk Southern Enterprise Data Warehouse. Linda received her Teradata Master Certification in 2008.


Senior Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics Engineering

Marty is currently a Senior Director in the Business Intelligence & Analytics Engineering team at Travelers. Marty has over ten years of business intelligence related experience in a broad range of roles spanning business analytics, application development, data warehouse design, and infrastructure engineering. In his current role, he leads the database administration and infrastructure engineering functions for Travelers’ Teradata environments, as well as the engineering function for Hadoop, ETL, and related data management technologies.


Chief Architect, Technical Fellow, Analytics & Information Management Services, Boeing IT
The Boeing Company

Ian Willson has been a Boeing Technical Fellow for 9 years, and in 2016, become Chief Architect for a new IT-wide data analytics organization. In this role Ian provides technology vision, oversees technical stack definition, represents Boeing in industry and influences the direction of key technologies. His current focus is developing temporal parallel data analytics methods to integrate aircraft sensor data (patent pending) and factory RFID data with Boeing’s EDW and data lake. Ian’s temporal EDW design supported real-time Bill-of-Material navigation, was granted 2 US patents and was later supported in Teradata’s native implementation. Ian earned his doctorate in predictive analytics and artificial intelligence from the University of Toronto. He is a former researcher and aviation software entrepreneur who created the first consumer air travel booking software, the industry standard for business travel analytics and has 27 years of experience working with large scale systems, including the DBC 1012 Model 1.


DWH Architect
Raiffeisen Bank International AG

Armin Woworsky is currently responsible for the IT Architecture of the Data Warehouse solutions of Raiffeisen Bank International. The goal of this DWH is to support the Bank Steering processes of RBI for group and local needs. Within his responsibility he works on Data Architecture, Implementation processes and Methodologies to support this initiative.

Before taking over this role he was in a managing and architecture role within UniCredit Group building Data Warehouse solution. He also has Data Warehouse experience in other business areas as Telecommunication and Pharma. As a consequence of this Armin gathered experience and deep knowledge on Data Warehousing with Teradata as the platform, dealing with complex loading scenarios.

Rich Charucki has been in the information systems field since 1971. In 1986, Charucki became an early Teradata customer while working for a major financial institution on Wall St. In 1991, he joined Teradata and has been designing, implementing and supporting data warehouses in the Retailing, Insurance and Telecommunication industries. He currently holds the position of Engineering Fellow in the Teradata database development organization and is a Teradata Certified Master.


Technical Marketing Director

With over 30 years in IT, Dan joined Teradata Corporation in 1989 where he was the senior product manager for the DBC/1012 parallel database computer. He then joined IBM where he wrote product plans and launched the RS/6000 SP parallel server. He then became Strategy Executive for IBM's Global Business Intelligence Solutions. As Enterprise Systems General Manager at Teradata, Dan was responsible for strategy, go-to-market success, and competitive differentiation for the Active Enterprise Data Warehouse platform. He currently leads Teradata's technical marketing activities.


Teradata Customer Services CSO Area Director, West

Robin Jessani is the Teradata Customer Services CSO Area Director for the West. As part of the Critical Support Office, Robin drives return to service and manages escalations for the most critical customer situations. Previously, she’s held a variety of leadership positions in Teradata Labs. In engineering she served as the Development Realization Team Leader for the Teradata Database. In product marketing and management, she had responsibilities across database and client products.

Since 1992, Patsy Martin has held a variety of positions in Teradata Product Management. Most recently, she manages Customer briefings in the Executive Briefing Center at Teradata Labs in San Diego. Patsy also manages the Teradata Product Advisory Council program.

Jeff Shelton is a senior consultant software engineer with Teradata since 1993. Beginning 2000 he has worked in Teradata primarily focused on developing tools and database features that facilitate query-plan analysis and performance tuning. Jeff is a Teradata Certified Master.
