SIX TIPS FOR FIRST TIME ATTENDEES
Will Atlanta be your first PARTNERS experience?
Starting to feel a little antsy? PARTNERS is jam-packed with break-out sessions, special events, receptions, and people to meet. But there’s no need to be overwhelmed, first-timers! Even the greenest PARTNERS rookie can feel like a seasoned pro when equipped with a few tips and resources.
STEP ONE: GET THE APP
Once you register for PARTNERS, download the mobile app. Trust us, this is the most essential item in your toolbelt for PARTNERS 2016. It’s the best way to plan your conference schedule, network with your new contacts, and navigate the convention center. The app also challenges you to play our Photo Scavenger Hunt. You can win awesome, high-tech prizes simply by taking photos of your PARTNERS experience!
STEP TWO: GET INVOLVED
Your unique background and abilities make you the most valuable resource at PARTNERS. Take the chance to get involved and give back by joining Teradata Cares and the Data for Good community. Dive into the special events for the best sites to network and contribute with fellow data do-gooders. Spend an afternoon helping nonprofits kick-start their data science journeys with a Project Accelerator or support the Red Cross by building a bike or assembling a relief kit. Share your skills and knowledge and join a community of change-makers.
STEP THREE: REACH OUT
From breakout sessions to meals to receptions, your PARTNERS schedule is guaranteed to be stuffed with opportunities to meet people. Networking is easy with so much to talk about and it’s made even easier with the mobile app. Build lasting connections with folks in your field through super tracks for business or tech or learn something new from a keynote speaker. Looking for a more casual setting? Be sure to check out the Buzz Lounge for virtual reality gaming and the chance to play with new friends.
STEP FOUR: CELEBRATE
PARTNERS will pass like a whirlwind and it’s fitting to celebrate the end with one last blowout. Let loose with your co-workers, new friends, and co-attendees at the Gala on September 14th in the stunning Georgia Aquarium. “Come Sail Away” and rock out to a private concert from "Dennis DeYoung: The Music of STYX" for an unforgettable, otherworldly evening.
STEP FIVE: STAY CONNECTED
PARTNERS may end on September 15th, but your newfound connections and knowledge certainly won’t. Be sure to maximize your PARTNERS experience by sharing what you’ve learned with your friends and invite them to join you for next year’s conference. Take advantage of your virtual passes and watch the on-demand sessions you missed or re-watch your favorites before sharing them with your colleagues. Keep in touch via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to hear the latest for PARTNERS 2017.
STEP SIX: TELL US WHAT YOU THINK
Have some tips of your own to share with us? We thrive on your feedback, so complete our survey to help make PARTNERS better with each passing year. It’s never too early to start planning for next year - stay tuned to register for PARTNERS 2017. We can’t wait to see how PARTNERS inspires and educates another year of data-driven progress and possibility.
